The one prompt behind the most fun I have had leading
The most fun I have ever had leading started with this one prompt.
I told our embedded AI employee:
"I want to create a goals database that helps us leaders coach our team members to accomplish their goals. Each employee goal needs a plan, milestone dates, and suggestions for how we can help them get there."
That single sentence turned into a real tool our directors use every week: every team member establishes a SMART goal, AI drafts the plan and milestones, leaders get a Monday nudge on who needs a check-in, and we walk into one-on-ones already knowing what to talk about instead of scrambling to remember.
AI didn't do the leading. It did the paperwork so we could. We now have 70+ team members with a live goal and five directors coaching off one shared dashboard instead of five different notebooks.
If you're a leader (not just a manager), please give this one a try!
The takeaway for leaders
Use AI for the paperwork of development (plans, milestones, reminders) so your time goes into the coaching conversation itself.

This idea is at the heart of the Frontline AI Leadership keynote and the book Frontline AI Leadership.
