Speaking topics
AI for the Non-Technical Leader
45 to 60 minutes plus Q&AA practical guide for leaders without a technical background who need to make AI decisions for their teams. Jon walks through the ten systems he runs inside his own Chick-fil-A, the failures along the way, and the framework for picking which workflow to automate first. Built for executives, operators, and senior managers leading AI adoption without a technical team to lean on.
How AI Forces the Manager-Leader Choice
45 to 60 minutes plus Q&AAI is eating the busywork managers used to claim was their value. It exposes who was leading and who was gatekeeping. Jon's framework for how AI redistributes operator, manager, and leader work, why your middle layer is about to be very confused, and the five concrete steps to coach managers into leadership before AI does it for you. Built for senior leadership, mid-managers, and HR teams designing leadership development.
Significance Over Success
45 to 60 minutes plus Q&AA talk about what happens after you hit the metrics. Jon's path from West Point to federal work to walking away from a high-status job to operate a restaurant is the case study. The framework: how to choose work that compounds over a lifetime instead of impressing for a quarter. Built for leadership audiences, sales conferences, recognition events, and faith-aligned organizations.
Sample introduction
"Our next speaker has done what most business books talk about. He graduated from West Point, taught systems engineering there, then walked away from federal work to operate a Chick-fil-A. Today he runs ten AI systems inside his own restaurant and helps leaders use AI without losing the soul of the business. He is a husband, father, and operator who cares more about significance than success. His most recent keynote was at Chadwell Supply's Annual Sales Conference. Please welcome Jon Harmeling."
