Speaking topics

Frontline AI Leadership: Machines Do. Managers Decide. Leaders Develop.

Flagship · 45 to 60 minutes plus Q&A

Jon's flagship keynote gives leaders a practical framework for deciding what AI should do, what managers must still own, and how to reinvest the capacity technology creates into people, customers, and performance. Grounded in real AI implementation inside a Chick-fil-A operation, the talk moves beyond productivity to the deeper leadership question: what will humans do with the capacity machines give back?

How AI Forces the Manager-Leader Choice

45 to 60 minutes plus Q&A

A focused leadership deep dive on what happens when AI absorbs more reporting, routing, paperwork, and administrative coordination. Jon shows managers how to move from supervising work toward judgment, coaching, trust, and developing people before the shift exposes the difference between management activity and human leadership.

Significance Over Success

45 to 60 minutes plus Q&A

A talk about what happens after you hit the metrics. Jon's path from West Point to Army service to losing that career to cancer, and then choosing a restaurant over the safer next job, is the case study. The framework explores how to choose work that compounds over a lifetime instead of merely impressing for a quarter.

Sample introduction

"Our next speaker is a West Point graduate, former West Point systems engineering instructor, Army veteran, and Chick-fil-A Operator who is applying AI inside a real frontline business. His work starts with a simple idea: machines can do more of the repeatable work, managers must still own the decisions, and leaders should use the capacity AI creates to develop people. His framework is: Machines do. Managers decide. Leaders develop. His most recent keynote was at Chadwell Supply's Annual Sales Conference. Please welcome Jon Harmeling."
